Then enjoy a petite evening cruise to Porte Minervoise, mooring under the majestic Mediterranean pine trees. Cruise this afternoon along a picturesque stretch of the canal; relax on deck or explore by bicycle. Johanna will pass under one of the lowest bridges on the Midi, with only a few inches to spare! Dine on board tonight while enjoying the lively atmosphere of Capestang.

Cruise this afternoon to the Malpas Tunnel. This canal tunnel was dug from the rock in 1679 to allow the Canal du Midi to pass under the hill of Ensérune and was an engineering miracle for its time. Relive the day’s adventures over cocktails and dinner onboard.

Take in the enticing sights and smells of Les Halles, one of the most famous covered food markets in France; then enjoy lunch in one of the counter restaurants or tapas bars. Cruise this afternoon down the famous Fonserannes flight of seven locks and over the Orb river on the way to Beziers. Dinner onboard ends this eventful day.

The center has become a bohemian haven of craft shops, lively cafes, and specialty boutiques. Once back on board cycle or walk to Portiragnes beach where you can swim in the clear blue Mediterranean sea. Dinner is onboard, appreciating the salty sea air and tranquil atmosphere.

After breakfast, cruise through the famous round lock of Agde and onward to the end of the Canal du Midi. Experience the colorful atmosphere of the fishing port of Marseillan, and then tour and taste at Noilly Prat, a historic vermouth producer. Back on board, Chef is creating a celebratory dinner for your last night on Johanna, featuring seafood and shellfish from producers just on the doorstep and wonderful wine from local vignerons.
