We were delighted to meet up with Anjodi moored near the old stone bridge in Le Somail. Captain Julian greeted us warmly - He has done a wonderful job for our guests. A quick visit revealed that the salon - an interesting mix of classic wood-paneled walls and snappy red leather - was in perfect condition.
Anjodi retains its nautical character and charm, especially on the inviting wooden deck with its snappy blue and white striped furniture - and the popular Jacuzzi. Inside, the cozy cabins and new brass portholes throughout continue the nautical theme! Anjodi offers well-operated cruises with a wide-ranging program encompassing many types of experiences on the Canal du Midi. Added to Carcassonne and other well-known high points is a visit to the outdoor market at Lezignan; mooring near the stone bridge at picture-perfect Le Somail; and wine tasting in a 17th-century château.
In May, 2008 we welcomed a "girlfriends getaway" group that had a ball on Anjodi! Leader Laurie Miller said: "Our experience exceeded expectations. The Barge Lady recommended ANJODI. We were thrilled when we arrived and found the barge so beautiful and equally thrilled when we met the crew and tasted Guy's cooking! Cruising down the Canal du Midi was beautiful and exploring neighborhood towns and vineyards with Captain Julian and Guide Justine was informative and fun. And the food - oh the food - we wanted to take Guy home with us! It was a perfect vacation week for our group of friends from university days who enjoyed being together on ANJODI."

Guest Book
"We loved dinner in town and liked all of the sightseeing. The staff was very informative without going overboard. LOVED the lock experience. We shared the barge with three couples whom we didn't know. The ANJODI staff created a warm atmosphere and we made great new friends. One evening we pulled back the rugs and danced the night away. All but the Captain joined us as he had an early morning sail."
-Cyril and Debbie Zebot, May 2009
"From pickup to departure we were cared for to the last detail. There was just the right combination of sightseeing and relaxation. We hope to enjoy barging again."
-Katie Farnham, 2008

-Michael Gray, 2008
"We totally enjoyed every moment of the barge from the time we were met in Beziers by Captain Julian. The crew was outstanding and went out of their way to please us. Fun, laughter, adventure, and fabulous food in a totally relaxed atmosphere."
-Shelly and Sandy Goorfin, 2006
"Effortlessly, the staff met every need and then some. The carefully selected wine and cheese was only the introduction to fabulously prepared lunches and dinners. The enjoyable land excursions and knowledge of our tour guide far exceeded past experiences with other guides. The exchanges of hugs and addresses between crew and our group at the end of the trip confirmed how wonderful life can be. we will be talking about this experience for many years."
-Craig Gould, 2006
"A most wonderful experience with fabulous food and the best crew anyone could wish for."
