In the afternoon, you will be met by a crew member of the Alegria at the designated meeting point. From here, relax as you are chauffeured to the barge, moored in the petite hamlet of Poihiles, population: 500. A traditional champagne welcome awaits you, and after settling in, enjoy a short evening cocktail cruise. After returning back to Poihiles, the first of many gourmet dinners is presented.

This morning's sightseeing is a series of excursions: the City of Béziers; the famous “stair case” of the Nine Locks of Fonsérane; the 6th century BC site of the Oppidum of Ensérune; and the Malpas Tunnel, the first canal tunnel built in the world. In the afternoon, a cruise to La Croisade passes underneath the lowest bridge on the Canal: the famous bridge of Capestang. Relax on the deck and admire the passing scenery. Tonight, Chef presents another gourmet dinner onboard.

During the morning cruise, bicycle or walk along the canal, or rest on deck. Upon mooring, your Tour Guide will escort you to a charming village, Le Somail. Bookworms are invited to browse a unique book shop with approximately 50,000 second-hand books! In the afternoon, your Tour Guide chauffeurs you to local vineyard or a nearby olive pressoir – the choice is yours! Tonight's dinner is very special, as it is taken ashore at a local bistro, allowing for an authentic taste of the region's many specialties.

A visit to a lively local market in Olonzac begins the day. Shop right alongside the locals for seasonal fruits, colorful vegetables, artisan breads, and spice blends. Your Tour Guide then escorts you to Minerve, a preserved Medieval city with fascinating social, historical, and military import. After exploring the village, your Tour Guide returns you to Alegria, for an unhurried afternoon cruise. Relax on deck with a drink and admire the passing scenery. Cocktails and a gourmet dinner are served.

After lunch ashore at a charming local bistro, your Tour Guide chauffeurs you back to the barge for an afternoon cruise. Take a dip in the plunge pool before tonight's gourmet dinner.
