Travel: Montbouy to Rogny-les-Sept-Ecluses

Perhaps the highlight of the cruise portion of your holiday, today the barge is carefully lifted (or lowered) through the “Seven Locks of Rogny”, a staircase of locks built in 1648. Upon mooring, your Tour Guide escorts you to a chateau of your choice. The Château of Sully contains elaborate tapestries and regal 17th century furnishings; the world famous Chateau of Fontainebleau once belonged to the Kings of France. After a thorough exploration, return to the barge for cocktail hour and another gourmet dinner.
