Kelly has been with Barge Lady Cruises since 2005, jumping at the opportunity to professionally combine all of her personal passions – art, travel, photography, and gourmet pursuits. Countless trips to Europe later, she feels incredibly fortunate to be doing what she loves.
Kelly always had a strong interest in travel, having toured extensively throughout the U.S., Mexico, and the Caribbean. At age 22, she traveled to Germany – her first European trip. She knew it would not be her last! To date, she has visited almost 40 barges throughout France, Ireland, Scotland, Italy, England, and Germany.
Kelly serves a number of important roles at Barge Lady Cruises, but her influence is most felt as the designer and curator of our gorgeous website! In addition to crafting our online experience, she creates our branding materials, manages our adorable blog, and heads our social media, primarily our Twitter feed.
As Barge Lady’s resident foodie, Kelly loves to cook and entertain. The cuisine scene in Paris is of special interest to her, and when in the City of Light her time is spent dining at new bistros, browsing the decadent treats at gourmet shops, and participating in food-related tours. She is always happy to pass along her recommendations to barge guests and invites you to read this blog post about her self-assigned hunt for the best macaron in Paris!
“My goal is to tell a visual story while providing an in depth look at each barge. I want guests visiting our site to be able to imagine sipping a glass of wine on deck as the French countryside unfolds.” – Kelly
