Discover the secrets of the Bordeaux – Southwest region on the adorable Alouette! Bordeaux’s pampered grapes, pastoral scenery, and elegant attractions star in this wonderfully wine-focused cruise.

Alouette cruises predominantly on the unspoiled Canal de Garonne with a petite detour onto the River Garonne.  Guests can expect lush greenery and bucolic landscapes, with walking and bicycling available on miles of manicured towpaths.

Upon boarding, Alouette’s country inn charm is evident. Expansive and comfortable, the deck encourages hours of lounging, perhaps with a glass of locally produced wine.  Two spacious cabins offer ample storage and premium bedding. Handmade tiles line the bathrooms, adding an authentic artisan touch.

Obviously, it is the bounty of Bordeaux that deliciously beckons foodies and Francophiles!  Aspiring culinarians are encouraged to observe the informal cooking demonstrations by their private Chef in the unusually large galley. Served topside, leisurely al fresco luncheons feature hearty salads and savory quiches. During candlelit multi-course dinners, carefully curated fine wines, emphasizing the best from nearby Bordeaux vineyards, are professionally paired and generously poured.

For groups of two, three, or four, Deluxe-rated barging in Bordeaux doesn’t get any better than this!
