For parties of two looking to commemorate a romantic occasion with a luxurious French barge cruise, the lovely Amour delivers an indulgent experience perfect for couples celebrating honeymoons, anniversaries, and holidays.

Attention to detail characterizes every aspect of the Amour, owned and operated by Captain Adrien Bramoulle. Growing up in South Africa, Adrien developed various interests leading to careers in wildlife conservation and luxury hospitality, and it is this high-profile international background he brings to the south of France. One of the most dynamic Captains on the Canal du Midi, Adrien shares his many talents with his first boat, the Premier class, 7-guest Savannah.

From fore to aft, the Amour‘s exterior and interior deliver sumptuous accommodations perfect for a sybaritic couples cruise. Upon boarding the marquise aft deck, guests relax on the spacious shaded terrace to admire the rustically beautiful scenery slipping by. Within, polished mahogany and Starbay furniture beckon with sophisticated style, while Les Toiles du Soleil and Villa Nova fabrics feature throughout. With a Queen-sized bed, refined linens, and an ensuite bath, the master cabin provides tranquil evenings for two. The cheerful al fresco dining area is the perfect perch for bountiful breakfasts, light luncheons, gourmet dinners, and decadent desserts, all crafted, of course, by a private Chef.

Sightseeing is vivid and vibrant, encompassing the lively cities and area attractions along the historic Canal du Midi. Local charm is introduced whenever possible, such as an excursion during which guests drive themselves in vintage French cars to a winetasting at a preserved chateau. Adding to the Amour‘s uniquely romantic experiences, Captain Adrien also invites musicians onboard to present an informal acoustic concert.

Love is all around on the Canal du Midi’s very own Love Boat, the Amour!
