Perfect for those looking to enjoy an effortless balance of sightseeing and relaxation deep in the south of France, Anjodi offers a lovely cruise encompassing the most memorable of experiences.

Built in 1929, Anjodi carries the legacy of Dutch barge design, but she’s been lovingly updated to offer comfort without losing character. She’s been renovated year after year, preserving tradition while layering in luxuries. Her sweeping hull glides through the Canal du Midi, the wooden deck an open invitation to stretch out under a retractable canopy, sink into the hot tub, watch sunlight and shadows dance across the water.

Inside, the salon feels like a cozy private club. Guests are ensconced in rich hardwood floors, polished brass fixtures, banquette seating that wraps around corners, and an elegant dining area where every meal becomes an occasion. Below deck, four beautifully compact staterooms are crafted with intelligence and warmth. Each cabin offers you the choice of twin beds or a double, with matching ensuite bathrooms. Thoughtful touches such as lovely linens and premium toiletries make guests feel more pampered than merely lodged.

Aboard Anjodi, every meal feels like a celebration of the Canal du Midi’s rustic bounty and dynamic wines. Think golden puff pastry filled with seasonal vegetables, tender herbed chicken from from the market, and decadent profiteroles as pretty as they are delicious. Of course, local wines flow freely, featuring hand-selected appellations from established estates to exciting young producers.
