In the afternoon, your Tour Guide presents Colmar, a fairytale town famous for its six Christmas markets, each depicting a different theme. Sample the sweets from the delectable patisseries lining every street while enjoying the festive ambiance and holiday decorations. Return to the barge for aperitifs and appetizers as Chef prepares tonight's epicurean dinner.

Cruise past impressive European Parliament buildings on the outskirts of Strasbourg, and the glide through the inland waterways of the Brumath Forest. Then, your Tour Guide returns you to Strasbourg to explore its 13 Christmas markets located throughout the historic center. After visiting the Musée du Chocolat to sample the season's confectionery, stroll through Place Gutenberg, festooned with a giant Christmas tree. Dine ashore this evening at a traditional Alsatian restaurant.

This morning, Panache cruises further along the canal to the enchanting town of Saverne where history traces back over 2,000 years to the Gallo-Roman times. Moor at the foot of the Château de Rohan, also known as the ‘Versailles of Alsace’. This afternoon, your Tour Guide introduces the Haguenau Christmas market with a remarkable fifty-foot-long nativity scene at its center. Savor the sunset with a stroll through Saverne to soak up the atmosphere of the Christmas spirit, and then enjoy drinks and dinner onboard.

Early risers will enjoy accompanying Chef to market, followed by a cruise to the pretty village of Lutzelbourg. In the afternoon, observe the expert glassblowers at the Meisenthal Glass Bauble factory, considered the birthplace of Christmas ornaments. Then, visit the outstanding René Lalique collection with over 500 exceptional examples of Art Nouveau and Art Deco glassware. Back onboard, cocktails and canapes are served as Chef puts the final touches on this evening's delightful dinner.

Rise and shine! Early birds can accompany Chef to a patisserie where the day's delicious creations are being made. Then, cruise through beautiful Alsatian countryside, stopping by a fascinating local glasswork en route to Niderviller. Panache then ascends the Arzviller Boat Elevator that carries it 450 feet up the mountainside. A walking tour of Sarrebourg reveals the preserved 13th-century chapel displaying Marc Chagall’s remarkable stained-glass windows. Enjoy some final Christmas shopping before the Captain’s Farewell Feast onboard.
