Barge Lady Cruises is delighted to announce our exclusive representation for Surf & Turf, a one-of-a-kind hybrid holiday blending the pleasures of barge cruising with the charm of country living, offering private groups and multi-generational families the best of both worlds.

Presented by longtime Barge Lady friends Captain Finnegan and Chef Emily Campfens, Surf & Turf blends the intimacy of Saraphina—their Charming-class barge reimagined as a casually chic cruiser—with the pastoral allure of La Maison Saraphina, a restored five-bedroom farmhouse described by Porthole Magazine as “a charming country home that could easily be depicted in a Monet painting.” Finn and Emily bring years of luxury hospitality experience and a playful spirit, making every moment welcoming.

SURF unfolds in a lively rhythm of daily cruising and cultural discovery on the water. Aboard Saraphina, guests relax on her spacious deck as she glides along the UNESCO-listed Canal du Midi, past vineyards and villages, or hop onto the towpath to cycle or stroll. Ashore, a dedicated Tour Guide introduces the artisan boutiques of Pézenas, the market square of Narbonne, and the storied ramparts of Carcassonne.

TURF focuses on the landscape of La Maison Saraphina, where guests settle into five cozy bedrooms, gather in the airy salon, or stroll among fruit orchards and vegetable gardens. Afternoons invite hours of splashing in the pool, playing tennis, or lounging in the cabana. Younger guests can collect eggs, bounce on the trampoline, befriend the resident animals, or help Chef Emily harvest produce. With hiking trails and horseback riding nearby, La Maison is a natural base for high energy multi-generational gatherings.

Dining at La Maison is a highlight. Regularly cited as one of the Canal du Midi’s most accomplished culinarians, Chef Emily’s market-driven menus draw on fruits and vegetables grown in her onsite organic garden, freshly sourced seafood from the nearby market, and signature flavors rooted in the region. Dinners are multi-course affairs, paired with boutique wines from nearby vineyards and centuries-old cellars, a tribute to the pampered grapes and winemaking traditions of the Languedoc’s hearty terroir.

True to its name, Surf & Turf offers a one-of-a-kind experience for private groups of friends and couples seeking authenticity and adventure across canals and countryside. Families, too, will reconnect in an ambiance of ease and charm, with something for everyone of all ages to enjoy.

Long live Surf & Turf!
